In November 2020, I had the most amazing experience: I met a powerful healing spirit—the spirit of the Amazonian plant Ayahuasca.
I wasn’t new to the path of self-discovery, but I had always hesitated to take anything, even if it was “natural,” to elevate my consciousness. Yet, the call came—or more accurately, I was told I was meant to participate in my roommate’s Ayahuasca ceremony. That moment marked a turning point in my life.
Not long after I began participating in ceremonies, I was asked to help organize them in Las Vegas. As I immersed myself in this new role, I began meditating on a name for our community. From that meditation, the seed of what is now our current community was planted.
Sagrado Mitotili—“Mitotili” means ceremony in Nahuatl, an indigenous language of Mexico. The ceremony we speak of is LIFE itself.
At Sagrado Mitotili, our mission is to guide and support individuals in uncovering and flourishing in their medicine—the mission of their Soul, their unique gifts. We achieve this through the transformative power of plant medicine journeys, meditation, and the integration of the shadow self. Our goal is to inspire and empower people to live authentically, fostering a world where each person’s unique mission is embraced, celebrated, and supported.
Sagrado Mitotili is a spiritual community dedicated to the sacred use of plant medicines for healing the mind, heart, and body, as well as fostering a deeper connection to the Cosmos and Mother Earth. We honor all sentient beings—men, women, children, elders, animals of the sea, sky, and land, along with the rocks, minerals, and vegetation both on land and in water.
We believe in walking through life with love and reverence, in harmony with the Great Spirit—the Creator and sustainer of all life. As divine expressions of this Life Force, we are called to embody the consciousness that sustains us. Every man and woman of sound mind has the capacity and right to express their truth freely, with the understanding that this freedom must be exercised responsibly and with respect for the rights of others.
I believe that when humanity approaches the ceremony of Life with sacredness, Mother Earth becomes the Altar where all expressions of Divinity dwell.
As a Buddhist disciple and facilitator, I lead ceremonies with love, respect, and the wisdom I’ve gained over the years. I follow the guidance of the plants’ spirits, who I believe are the true healers. As medicine men and women, it is our responsibility to deeply understand these medicines, honor their workings, and create a safe environment for everyone who comes to commune with them.
We are at a crucial point in our evolution—a time where we have the opportunity to lean into higher consciousness. It is time for each of us to awaken the powerful medicine we carry within.
